Life Form: Arachnid Robot
Episodes: The End of the World, New Earth
These metal robots in the shape of spiders were used by the Lady Cassandra around the year five billion, to cause trouble. They were used on two occasions that we know of. The first was on Platform One, when many different aliens came to witness the end of the Earth on the spacestation. She hid them inside silver orbs, carried in by other robots she called the 'Adherents of the Repeated Meme', who then gave them to different guests, eventually opening up so the small creature could escape and do what it needed to. Cassandra wanted to destroy the ship and claim the money for her insurance. She succeded for a while, and they killed a few people, including a blue cleaning lady, and infiltrated Platform One's systems. The plan went wrong when the Doctor interfered, realising what she was up to, and deactivated them, killing them. They returned on New Earth, and used them outside the hospital that Cassandra was hiding in, and found, with the camera inside the spider, Rose Tyler, companion of the Doctor. Both she, and her servant, Chip, spyed on them with the robot. The robot spiders had 4 legs, which could bend in any direction they wanted, and two disc-shaped boy parts, the top having a red light , which they used to see and project light, to see clearer.
