The Forest of Cheem are an alien species we saw in the year five billion. They say that they descended from the rainforests on Earth, but have evolved so that now they are intelligent, have faces and can talk. There are just a group of them, and they are all made of wood, but look quite human in fashion. members of the group can be found anywhere, saying they have 'roots' everywhere. The Forest of Cheem are very important for other planets, as they make up some of the holdings and forests on the land. A group of three members came to watch the destruction of Earth, on Platform One, along with many other-worldly guests. Their leader was Jabe, and the other two were called Lute and Coffa. Although they used technology, they were said not to understand it, as they are only made of wood, and metal is a completely different thing to them. They knew about the Time Lords, and the war against them and the Daleks. Jabe helped the Doctor to get the shields back online on Platform One, after the evil Cassandra de-activated them. It was too hot for Jabe, where she and the Doctor went, next to massive fans, and burnt up, but died as a hero. Lute and Coffa were very sad at the news. It is also said that they were first created by the Brothers of Hame, in the far future, who experimented on trees.
