The Hoix only appeared briefly in Doctor Who, when Elton Pope went searching for the Doctor. He saw the Tardis outside a warehouse, and so went in to find the Time Lord and his companion. He found them both chasing this gruesome looking monster who had brown skin, sharp teeth and exposed gums. The Hoix stared at Elton, but the Doctor distracted it with a large slice of raw meat. Rose threw the wrong bucket of liquid over the creature, which in fact made it more angry than it was. It started chasing them all round the building, until the Doctor took a good look at Elton, asking if he had seen him before. At this point, Elton ran away.
