The Editor was a pale-faced human that we saw on Satellite Five, a spaceship orbiting Earth. He served the Jagrafess, who was a large creature hidden at the top of, Floor 500, of the spacestation. He managed all the operations, which were broadcasting constant news to six hundred channels back on Earth, but he was unseen to anyone on any lower level. In the time that he lived, around the year 200,000, people on Satellite Five had chips built into their heads to access any computer systems on the ship. He monitored all thoughts and feelings of these people via this chip. He was able to see whatever people knew, and used frozen slaves to help him contorl everything. he was also able to detect when something was wrong, and if a piece of news was false. He captured the Doctor and Rose, when he knew that they were not supposed to be there, as Adam accidentally gave him access to information about the Doctor, knowing that he was a Time Lord and travelled around the universe in the Tardis. cathica stopped his wrong-doing, when she connected to the computer to change the temperature of Floor 500, to hot, and the Jagrafess exploded, presumably killing the Editor as well.
